Ermedin Demirović's 12-Minute Hat-Trick Sinks Viking 3-1

VfB Stuttgart beat Viking 3-1 at the MHP Arena on Wednesday, September 9 — Ermedin Demirović scored all three Stuttgart goals inside a rapid 12-minute spell either side of a Viking equalizer, in a match that also marked a historic first for the Norwegian visitors.
A Hat-Trick in 12 Minutes
Demirović opened the scoring in the 20th minute, assisted by Angelo Stiller. Viking hit straight back through Zeljko Tripic just two minutes later to level at 1-1, but Demirović answered immediately — restoring Stuttgart's lead in the 26th minute and adding a third in the 32nd, both goals set up by Deniz Undav, to complete his hat-trick before half-time.
Viking's First Champions League League Phase
Founded in 1899 in Stavanger, Viking have played more top-flight matches than any other club in Norwegian football history and have won 9 league titles. Despite that domestic pedigree, this was their first-ever Champions League league-phase match, sharing the spotlight this season with fellow Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in one of the country's best collective football moments.
