Inter 3-4 Club Brugge: Tresoldi Hat-Trick Stuns Inter Despite Lautaro Brace
Club Brugge pulled off one of the biggest results in their history, beating Inter 4-3 at the San Siro on Tuesday, October 13 — Nicolò Tresoldi's hat-trick proving decisive despite a Lautaro Martínez brace for the hosts.
Tresoldi's Night
Tresoldi opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 30th minute after Hakan Çalhanoğlu fouled Carlos Forbs, then doubled his tally by tapping into an empty net following a defensive mix-up. Lautaro Martínez levelled before half-time and struck again seven minutes into the second half, but Tresoldi completed his hat-trick in the 74th minute to restore Brugge's lead.
Romeo Vermant made it 4-2 in the 87th minute, and although Ange-Yoan Bonny pulled one back for Inter deep into stoppage time, Brugge held on for a famous win.
A Famous Away Win
Beating Inter at San Siro is one of the standout results of this Champions League season so far — a reminder that the league phase's 36-club format leaves no easy nights for even the competition's biggest names.
