Champions League Matchday 2 Preview: Full Schedule, October 13-14

Five weeks after Matchday 1 wrapped up, the Champions League league phase resumes with Matchday 2 on October 13-14 — 18 fixtures across two days, headlined by José Mourinho's emotional return to Roma and a Manchester City-PSG clash with plenty of subplots of its own.
Tuesday, October 13
Lens vs Sporting CP and Sabah FA vs Slavia Praha open the day (16:45 CEST), followed by a packed 19:00 slate: Arsenal host Lille, RB Leipzig face PSV Eindhoven, Inter host Club Brugge, Atlético Madrid face Manchester United, Villarreal host Napoli, and Viking welcome Bayern Munich to Stavanger. The standout: Galatasaray host Barcelona at a famously hostile Rams Park.
Wednesday, October 14
Feyenoord vs Como and Lask Linz vs Liverpool open the day, before the night's two headline fixtures kick off together at 19:00: Manchester City host PSG, and Mourinho takes his Real Madrid side to the Stadio Olimpico to face his former club, Roma. Elsewhere, Aston Villa host Fenerbahçe, Bodø/Glimt face Borussia Dortmund, Real Betis host Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk meet AEK Athens in London, and Slovan Bratislava face Stuttgart.
Why This Round Matters
Every club already has one result on the board from Matchday 1, so this round starts shaping the real league-phase table — the top 8 of 36 advance straight to the Round of 16, 9th through 24th enter a playoff round, and the bottom 12 are out.
